My secret weapon, my tried and true magic trio!
I use these three colors, on almost every client I do. Whether it be for a news broadcast on Television, an actor playing in a Film or a blushing Bride on her Special Day to a simple one on one makeup lesson for the everyday Mom.
This trio has complimented an African American women in her 20's, an Indian woman in her 50's and even a Caucasian women that was nearly 100.
You may be wondering how these same three colors can look good on every race and face and I will tell you why. Fact: this trio looks great on camera, in photos and at the same time, in person.
These colors will bring out the bluest of Blue eyes, the amber flecks in the normally plain looking Hazel/Brown eye and make those Green eyes sparkle! These colors are subtle yet bold, all at the same time.
Ready to see what they are?
Because this, will change everything!
Okay, Here goes!
Ricepaper- by MAC Cosmetics
This is a satiny Ivory that works as a great inner corner highlight and lid color.
It applies SO velvety smooth. It's so natural yet, noticeable. It creates a beautiful highlight. (Some highlighting colors are too metallic and distracting. This, is not one of them.)
Woodwinked- by MAC Cosmetics
A metallic coppery gold shadow that looks good on anyone and everyone! If you only buy one shadow in your lifetime, this should be it.
This is a double threat shadow. It can be used as your crease color to compliment your highlighting color (ricepaper),or you can apply woodwinked all over the lid, for a natural yet eye catching look.
When used alone, the metallic formula of this color reflects off the lid in a way that when the light hits it, it appears as though you are wearing 2 shadow colors. One: A pretty, light base on the lid Two: a darker color in your crease. (You can see it in the picture above)
Don't know how they did it, but it's amazing!
I recommend this color to:
•Anyone who wants to make their eyes "pop".
• Teen girls: This should be the first shadow you own.
• Women in their 50's, looking to update their look in a natural way.
• Busy moms who want a quick way to look look cute and polished.
• Women in the workplace that want a professional yet stylish look.
• If you have blue, green, brown, hazel and everything in between, colored eyes.
Bottom line: this color is for everyone!
Espresso- by MAC Cosmetics
A matte warm brown. This is my go to crease color. Not too dark but does the job. When added to the previously discussed colors, it completes the beautiful naturally noticeable look!
To show you how versatile these shadows really are, I've added some pictures of clients I've done that have these three colors on. Nothing more, nothing less.
Many faces, three colors, one beautiful look!
Just thought I add that for those of you who are on a budget, I recommend getting Woodwinked first, (because you can wear it alone) Ricepaper second, (To add dimension to your look) and Espresso third (To complete the look and add even more dimension).
You can purchase these colors at any MAC cosmetics store or online at www.maccosmetics.com
The shadows are more pricey upfront, but they last you a LONG time. I'd say for the average wearer, 1-2yrs. That's not very expensive in the long run.
Individually potted shadow: 14.00
If you buy them in pallet form without all the packaging and put them in a magnetic compact, you will save the most money in the long run.
Cost of Pro Pallet: 9.00 |
Each shadow is 12.00 in pallet form.
So, feel free to stop buying a shadow you think you'll like and get some colors you know will look great! You won't regret it!
Spring is just around the corner, and a as this beautiful Season brings on so much new life, it's the perfect time to give your look some new life as well.
This look can give you that boost of confidence you've been needing and as a result, your Inner Beauty will get a little boost as well! Enjoy :)
P.S. Leave me a comment if you want a video tutorial on this look. I am extremely busy with the girls, and it takes me months just to get one post published. But, if I see that enough of you need it, I will make an effort to get that made. Thanks!
